What is TANCET ?

TANCET Exam 2023 Dates have been recently announced by Anna University for admission to postgraduate programs. TANCET Exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 26, 2023, for MBA and February 25, 2023 for M. Arc, MCA, and M. Tech programs. TANCET Registration 2023 is likely to be started in December 2022.

  • In order to apply for TANCET Exam, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
  • TANCET MBA, and TANCET MCA question papers consist of 100 questions to be completed in 2 hours of duration.

About TANCET 2023

TANCET Exam is an entrance examination conducted at the state level. The exam is conducted for admission to MCA, MBA, M. Tech, M. E., M. Arch, and M. Plan postgraduate programs offered by almost more than 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu. Every year more than 40,000 students compete for 16000 seats offered by these college for admission to various PG courses.

The exam was scheduled to be conducted across 14 cities of Tamil Nadu referred to as TANCET Exam Centres. TANCET Cutoff for the year 2023 is expected to go higher for admission to MBA programs offered by TANCET Accepting Colleges. Candidates who qualify the exam can appear for TANCET Counselling Process.

TANCET 2023 Registration

Anna University Conducts TANCET Exam every year for admission to postgraduate programs namely MBA, MCA, M. E., M. Tech, M. Arch, and M. Plan. TANCET 2023 Application Forms will be available once the registration process is commenced. It needs to be done on the official website of TANCET i.e. tancet.annauniv.edu. Candidates must process the payment of INR 600 (which is INR 300 for reserved categories) as application fee while filling the application form. The reservation criteria do not stand for students coming from other states. Before filling the application form, candidates are required to register themselves by entering their basic details. Besides the release of TANCET Exam Dates, we have seen a few changes in various parameters of TANCET Exam.
Below mentioned are some of these changes:

  • TANCET 2023 Application Fee has been increased to INR 400 for reserved category candidates. Besides, TANCET Application Fee has been increased to INR 800 for all other candidates.
  • Candidates appearing in TANCET Exam must secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in their graduation.
  • It is an offline exam with a total duration of 120 minutes. There will be 1 mark awarded for every correct answer while 1/3rd of the total allotted marks will be deducted in case of incorrect answer

How to Apply for TANCET 2023?

Step 1-Visit the official website i.e. tancet.annauniv.edu and log in to TANCET 2023

Step 2- Click on Register Now and sign up by entering details such as Name, DoB, Email Id, and Mobile Numbe

Step 3 – Log on to your account using the login credentials you generated by registration.

Step 4 – Process the payment of TANCET Application Fee before initiating the form filing process

Step 5 – After the payment of application fee online, fill the application form and submit it.

Step 6 – Crosscheck the details before submitting the duly filled form.

Step 7 – Save a copy of duly filled form for future reference.

How to Apply for TANCET 2023?
  • Candidates applying for TANCET Exam 2023 must secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in their graduation from a recognized university in the relevant fields.
  • The exam dates for TANCET 2023 Exam will vary for MBA, MCA, M. E., M. Tech, M. Arch, and M. Planning.
  • As per TANCET Exam Pattern, there are total 100 MCQs carrying 1 mark each. The total duration for the exam in 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours.
  • TANCET Syllabus differs based on the subject that a candidate is interested in and opts for. For MBA, the syllabus is divided into 4 sections namely Business Analysis, VARC, QA, and Data Sufficiency.

TANCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission via TANCET Exam must ensure that they stand eligible as per the eligibility criteria defined by colleges for admission. The minimum eligibility for admission is to possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university. Interested candidates must secure at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a degree from a distance/ weekend programs will not be considered eligible for TANCET 2023.

  • To be eligible to apply for engineering master's programs such as M. Tech or M. E. offered through TANCET Score, candidates must possess a B. E. or B. Tech degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
  • For admission to M. Arch, the eligibility criterion is to possess a B. Arch degree or qualification of Associateship Examination of the Indian Institute of Architects with a valid registration with the CoA (Council of Architecture).
  • For admission to M. Plan, master's degree holders in Geography, Economics, Sociology, Social with Community Development specialization, and Rural Development also eligible.
  • For admission to MBA, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks in aggregate

TANCET 2023 Syllabus

Anna University releases TANCET Exam Syllabus right after the commencement of registration process. Interested candidates must prepare in as per TANCET Syllabus 2023. TANCET Exam Pattern

The question paper of TANCET Exam consists of 100 questions of multiple-choice questions type with four options for each question. Each question carries one mark if answered correctly and 1/3rd of the allotted marks will be deducted as penalty for every incorrect answer.
